After a comprehensive search, the police ruled the bomb threat at the shopping center MallDova to be a hoax. No explosive substances or devices were discovered at the mall located on Arborilor Street in Chisinau.

The Centru District Police Inspectorate said it investigates the hoax. The perpetrator faces a fine of up to 42,500 lei, up to 240 hours of community service, or up to 2 years in jail.

Employees and shoppers were evacuated earlier today after the mall’s administration received a bomb threat via email. The evacuation was carried out in an orderly and expeditious manner.
