The 19-year-old male who ten days ago was struck by a bar at a gas station in Florești town died at the hospital in the evening of January 26. He didn’t recover from the coma.

Contacted by IPN for details, vice director of the Florești District Hospital Ion Manole said the young man was operated immediately by specialists of their hospital and of the Chisinau Emergency Medicine Institute. But he didn’t make it. 

The doctors considered the possibility of transferring him to Chisinau, but gave up as the risk of dying on the way was very big.

The incident happened on January 16. The young man and a friend of his aged 25 were at a filling station. The one who attacked them is 28 and is from Florești. The 25-year-old man was also hit, but he suffered minor injuries. The aggressor was remanded in custody. He admitted his guilt. Criminal proceedings were instituted against him.
