The majority of voters in the diaspora are people aged 36 to 45. Over 52,000 voters in this age group had cast their votes by 18:00 Moldovan time at the 231 polling stations opened abroad.
Voters aged 36 to 45 make up 28.3% of the total number of diaspora voters, reports IPN.
Twenty-six percent of voters are aged 26 to 35, with their number exceeding 48,100.
Representatives of the 46-55 age group cast 33,300 votes, making up 18% of Moldovan citizens who exercised their right to vote abroad.
22,400 young people aged 18 to 25 contribute 12.1% of diaspora votes, while voters aged 56 to 65, numbering over 21,600, account for 11.6% of the total number of voters abroad.
3.6% of voters are citizens aged 66 to 75, and 0.3% are over 76 years old. In total, just over 7,000 voters from these age groups have cast their ballots.
Polling stations remain open until 21:00 in the countries where the voting process is organized.
