The group of the European People’s Party in the European Parliament, which is the largest one, will vote for the abolition of the visa requirements for Moldovan citizens. The announcement was made during discussions between MEPs and a group of Moldovan Liberal-Democratic MPs, who are in Brussels on a visit, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from Parliament.
The interlocutors reiterated the common objective of the Pro-European Coalition of Moldova and of the partners from the large family of the European People’s Party to promote and implement processes that will bring about real and visible changes in the lives of the Moldovan people.
Next week, the European Parliament is to put to the vote the matter concerning the liberalization of the visa regime for Moldovans.
