Main Tax Inspectorate to implement forced track recording system

The Good Governance Program provides assistance to the State Main Tax Inspectorate of Moldova in working out a forced track recording system – one of the several areas of cooperation in strengthening the information technology systems of the inspectorate. The system aims to combat corruption, increase transparency and make the monitoring of payments more efficient, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the website of the Good Governance Program. One of the major tasks of the system is to provide the State Main Tax Inspectorate with detailed information about every forced tracking of payments initiated by the tax inspectors. The software will include recording and reporting systems that will monitor the tracking activities and will enable to adequately prepare the documents needed to issue notices to taxpayers, sequester and sell the taxpayer’s goods and for all the other forced tracking activities. The system will enable to automatically inform the administration of the inspectorate about the period of time used to solve every forced tracking case and the total sum owed by the taxpayer and will allow the inspectorate’s administrative personnel to efficiently monitor the tracking activities. When the new program is implemented, the important information about forced tracking that was earlier collected from multiple sources will be available in the central database system. Over 150 tax inspectors from all the regions of the country will be trained to use the new system by specialists working for the Good Governance Program.
