Maia Sandu’s message after Sputnik-V vaccine was delivered to Chisinau

The lot of 142,000 doses of Sputnik-V vaccine doses will enable to accelerate the vaccination process. The donation made by Russia to Moldova enables to extend the categories of immunized persons. This is the message formulated by President Maia Sandu after the vaccine was shipped to Chisinau, IPN reports.

President Sandu thanked the Russian Federation and reiterated that the vaccination and further observance of the protection measures are the chance for returning to normality. “It is important that as many citizens as possible get a vaccine during the shortest period of time so that we protect our and our relatives’ life and health. The state should continue doing its best to bring more vaccine doses to the country and to ensure access to more types of vaccine so that the citizens are able to choose,” Maia Sandu posted on Facebook.

The doses of Sputnik-V vaccine donated by the Russian Federation to Moldova were delivered to Chisinau on April 24. Maia Sandu didn’t attend the greeting ceremony. Earlier, the leader of the PSRM Igor Dodon, who says that this donation is his merit, noted that the President’s intention to come to the airport represents limitless cynicism.
