The Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) rejects the idea of all the parties of the opposition choosing a common candidate, regardless of the geopolitical preferences, the party’s leader Maia Sandu stated in the talk show “Fourth Power” on N4 TV channel, IPN reports.
“We will never form a coalition with Igor Dodon. First of all, he is anti-European, has views that differ from ours and opposes the European integration. Secondly, I think that Dodon plays the game of the current government,” said the PAS leader.
Maia Sandu noted that the discussions between the PAS, the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth”, the European People’s Party of Moldova and the Liberal Democratic Party on the nomination of a common candidate for the presidential elections will continue and voiced hope that these will be successful.
The politician also said that the early parliamentary elections are a priority for the PAS. “The early elections are now in the focus. It is important to replace the current government because it is far from doing reforms and from implementing the roadmap. I don’t think that this political class will elucidate the theft of the billion. A new political class should be chosen for this to happen,” stated Maia Sandu.
