The president of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) Maia Sandu said that in the upcoming campaign that will precede the presidential elections she will not struggle against parties of the center-right. Moreover, the PAS candidate for President noted the goal of the party is to struggle against incumbent President Igor Dodon, IPN reports.
“In this campaign, we struggle against Igor Dodon, not with the partners from the center-right. I think everyone understands what danger this country faces and why we should combine forces and conduct a correct campaign free from mutual attacks between the candidates who fight against Dodon,” Maia Sandu stated in the talk show “In Depth” on PRO TV channel.
As to the misunderstandings between the supporters of the PAS and the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, Maia Sandu said the party she heads ensured correct communication and wants its supporters to do the same.
“It is an occasion for asking the supporters of the PAS not to make harsh replies. We, those from the PAS, have a very correct attitude and ask that our supporters do the same. This fight favors only Igor Dodon and I’m absolutely sure that the PAS and its supporters want the country to get rid of Igor Dodon,” stated the politician.
Maia Sandu is the Party of Action and Solidarity’s candidate for office of President of the Republic of Moldova in the November 1 presidential elections. She was nominated by the party’s National Political Council in the middle of July.
