The city of Chisinau is the home of many, the city of promises for many young people from other districts, but also the face with which we welcome guests. In its complexity and with all its contrasts, we all love Chisinau and we want it to become a European capital. This is the message disseminated by President Maia Sandu on the occasion of Chisinau’s Patron Saint Day, IPN reports.
“It is the place where traditional cuisine meets the most modern restaurants, where we find both traffic jams with people in a hurry and also the silence of the alleys in the morning, young people who have a good time and concerts that bring back folklore and old songs on stage, children who barely babble in strollers and elderly people who enjoy a dance in the park, illegally built apartment blocks and also old historic houses, glorious chestnut trees with strong roots, but also young trees that are only growing. All the colors, all the memories and also all the dreams,” said Maia Sandu.
The official thanked all those who take care of the city so that it is cleaner, more beautiful, friendlier. “Happy birthday to all those for whom Chisinau means home,” says President Sandu’s message.
