Prime Minister Maia Sandu, when introducing the new Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection to the Ministry’s staff, said merging health and labor into one ministry was a bad idea. “This decision that I consider uninspiring should be corrected,” stated the Premier, being quoted by IPN.
As to the new minister, Maia Sandu said Alla Nemerenco has managerial experience and knows things in depth.
Alla Nemerenco said her agenda is topped by the medical personnel and social assistants, the people who work in social protection, whose salaries should be raised. “The patient is also a priority. What we do is for the patients, and not only by sterile statements. We must start to open the door of the Ministry of Health, to renounce bureaucracy and the difficulties experienced by the patient through our system,” stated the minister.
Alla Nemerenco was born in 1959. After graduating from the Faculty of General Medicine of the State Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy in Chisinau, she obtained a master’s degree in public health management from the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemițanu”.
