Maia Sandu: Results of second poll are needed to nominate common candidate

The results of the second poll are yet needed to be able to nominate the common candidate of the right, the leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) Maia Sandu wrote on a social networking site following the publication of the results of the first poll commissioned by the parties for choosing a common candidate, IPN reports.

In her message, Maia Sandu says that the teams of the PAS, the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” and the Liberal Democratic Party had a joint meeting to analyze the results of the first poll of the two on October 5. This ended close to midnight. It was agreed that a decision as to the common candidate of the three parties will be taken when the results of the second poll become available.

The first poll shows Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase would have the same electoral score in the first round of voting. However, in the runoff vote Maia Sandu would outstrip Andrei Nastase.
