The task of the opposition of the right is to rally in the parliamentary elections of next year the critical mass of people who believe in democracy despite the disappointment experienced because of poor governance, the leader of the Party “Action and Solidary” (PAS) Maia Sandu stated in the program “Politics” on TV8 channel, IPN reports.
“It is our task and chance, of everyone, to mobilize these people and make common cause against the Plahotniuc-Dodon duo,” stated the PAS leader.
Maia Sandu noted that intense work will be done the next few months to choose the persons who will be put on the party’s list and the candidates of single-member constituencies. These will be honest persons who will prove that they are upright and will be chosen also with the assistance of civil society.
As to the accusations that representatives of the opposition of the right go and discuss the internal situation with European officials, Maia Sandu said when the democratic process in a country is in danger, as it is in Moldova, things should not be discussed in the country only. Help should be thought from the country’s development partners. “The democratic process in the Republic of Moldova is in great danger. We will not cope by ourselves here and thus need the country’s partners to become involved,” stated the PAS leader.
