The MPs who signed for designating Vladimir Plahotniuc as a candidate for Prime Minister were most probably blackmailed and paid large sums of money, considers ex-minister of education Maia Sandu. She developed the issue in the talk show “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.
“There is no other logical explanation why these people insist on the designation of Plahotniuc after declaring something else not long ago. I didn’t expect to see some on this list. I think these lawmakers do not hope to be elected again. The benefits they got after joining the so-called majority are probably so big that they are no longer interested in the political career,” said the former member of the Cabinet.
Maia Sandu considers Plahotniuc aspires to the premiership so insistently because he is vainglorious, but also because he wants to avoid responsibility. “With a Government headed by Plahotniuc, we will enjoy stable poverty, misery and corruption. Plahotniuc is not credible when he says that he wants to become Prime Minister in order to promote the people’s interests. How could this metamorphosis happen overnight? A person who stole from the people will never work for them. The best solution is for him to leave Moldova. But he does not have where to go, if only in Siberia, as in the West he will be arrested and forced to answer for his wrongdoing,” she stated.
Maia Sandu also said that together with her supporters with whom she intends to create a new party she will protest in the center of Chisinau on January 14.
