Moldova intends to extend the strategic dialogue with the U.S., which is one of the main development partners of the Republic of Moldova, President Maia Sandu stated in a meeting with Deputy Assistant Secretary responsible for Central and Eastern Europe in the U.S. Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Robin Dunnigan in the Presidential Palace, IPN reports.
“We discussed the problems faced by the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and the development agenda of our country that is promoted by the current government. We were assured of the United States’ support in the implementation of this agenda by Missis Dunnigan,” said Maia Sandu.
The two officials also discussed the Moldovan-American relations, including the assistance programs for development financed by the U.S. in the Republic of Moldova. President Sandu thanked the U.S. for the support offered to develop the Moldovan communities and a number of local industries and for the solidarity support received by Moldova to fight the pandemic.
