The leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) Maia Sandu was invited to the Congress of the European People’s Party (EPP) that will be held in Malta on March 29-30, 2017, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the EPP. Maia Sandu was invited as the leader of the Moldovan opposition.
The Congress in Malta is dedicated to securing Europe’s future and will focus on foreign and security policies as well as economic and digital realities. The list of invitees includes the EPP’s EU heads of state and government or opposition leaders from the EU and EaP member states.
Among those invited are: President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, ex-President of Georgia and ex-governor of Ukraine’s Odessa Region Mihail Saakashvili.
