Maia Sandu: I voted for mayor who would efficiently manage municipal resources

The leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” Maia Sandu said she voted for a mayor of Chisinau who would correctly and efficiently manage the municipal resources and would improve the living conditions for all the residents, IPN reports.

When going out of the polling place, Maia Sandu told the journalists that she voted for a mayor who would not deceive the inhabitants of the capital city, would not divide them into allies and enemies and would respect all the citizens of Chisinau municipality. The new mayor will have a lot of work to do and the first thing this should do is to build a team because the tasks with which he will have to cope can be fulfilled only with a very good team.

Maia Sandu called on those who haven’t yet voted to go and cast their ballots as the low voter turnout could have dramatic effects on all the residents of Chisinau municipality.

The voter turnout at 3:30pm was 25.44% or 162,000 of those put on the electoral registers. There is no minimum turnout of voters required for the runoff vote. The candidate who gains the largest number of votes emerges victorious.
