Maia Sandu: I request the Constitutional Court judges present their resignations

Prime Minister Maia Sandu believes that Constitutional Court judges "continue their delirium, bringing national and international shame to the institution they represent." After the Court have canceled on Saturday, June 15th, their own judgments and notices issued between June 7 and 9, Maia Sandu requests that the Court of Magistrates submit their resignations immediately, IPN reports.

"Basically, instead of recognizing that they participated in the Democratic Party's desperate attempt to remain in power illegally, the Court justify their decision merely by saying that the current outlook in Moldova demands it. I regard this approach as unacceptable in terms of respect for the supreme law, " mentioned Maia Sandu in a Facebook posting.

According to the premier, the Constitutional Court must pass judgements in accordance with the letter and spirit of the Constitution, and in no case based on the decisions and behavior of political players in the country

Maia Sandu require judges of the Court "to submit their resignations immediately if they have a an ounce of honor and respect for the Constitution and the citizens of this country".
