Ex-minister of education on behalf of the Liberal Democratic Party Maia Sandu, who was also fielded for the post of Premier in summer, said that she never supported an alliance with the Party of Communists because this party cannot be a serious partner in the European integration process, IPN reports.
“As the misinformation continues, I need to clearly express my opinion on parties. I never said that I support an alliance with the Communists. I don’t think that the PCRM can become a serious partner in the European integration process,” Maia Sandu wrote in her Facebook account.
As to the former alliance partners of the PLDM – the Democrats - Maia Sandu said neither the PDM can be now considered a party that promotes the European values.
Maia Sandu noted that she will yet take a decision if she is offered to lead the PLDM. In an event, the acting leader of the PLDM Valeriu Strelet said the members of the party support Maia Sandu and will accept her as a member or a leader of the team.
