Prime Minister Maia Sandu says that information regarding the promotion of former Minister of Internal Affairs, Dorin Recean, to the position of Customs Service director, for which the Ministry of Finance announced an employment contest, is untrue.
Following a government meeting on Wednesday, Maia Sandu denied that she discussed with anyone about Dorin Recean and said that she does not intend to encourage him to participate in this contest.
The Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday, September 3, an employment contest for the position of Customs Service director. Eligible persons with a high level of integrity and possessing managerial skills are urged to submit their candidacy by September 30, only via email, to the following address: concursvama@mf.gov.md.
At the end of June, Vitalie Vrabie announced the termination of his term as head of the agency. He was appointed chief of the Customs Service in March 2016.
