The European Action Movement (MAE) considers the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) should field a common candidate for the presidency, who will be chosen democratically by secret vote inside the Alliance, Info-Prim Neo reports MAE leader Veaceslav Untila told a news conference that the person who will dismember the AEI will be responsible for everything that will follow. The people in Moldova accepted the AEI as it is today. The one who will be responsible for the dismemberment of the Alliance will be responsible for the developments in Moldova, if the Communists come to power. “The only candidate for the presidency of the AEI will be the person chosen inside the Alliance by secret vote. It will be the most democratic exercise,” Veaceslav Untila said. The MAE backs the idea of reaching a behavioral agreement that will not allow the member parties of the Alliance to shift from competition to rivalry. In the same news conference, Veaceslav Untila said the Democrat leader Marian Lupu's statement that there are criminal soldiers is insulting to those who defended Moldova's independence and integrity, the historical truth and the memory of those killed in battle.
