MAE launches nationwide campaign “Moldova without Corruption”

The Social-Political Movement “Actiunea Europeana” (MAE) has launched a national campaign to collect signatures titled “Moldova without Corruption”. Every day between March 18 and April 3, representatives of the MAE will work with the people in Chisinau and most of the country’s district centers, from 9.00 until 18.00, Info-Prim Neo reports. The campaign stated in Chisinau, at the entrance to Stephan the Great Public Garden. Those that want can take informative materials available at the MAE booths. In Chisinau, there are five such booths, in every district. Similar activities are carried out in district centers. “It is a moment when the people unite in fighting corruption. We regard the signatures collected from people as support. We instead will have to show responsibility. After the April 4 elections, we will focus on the problems mentioned by the signatories,” MAE leader Anatol Petrencu said. Putting her signature to the MAE anticorruption program, pensioner Eleonora Grosu said that she expects a force that would destroy the wall of injustice and fulfill its promises. “The people that remained to work in Moldova hope for a better future. I think that the MAE will successfully complete the nationwide campaign. That’s why I signed with confidence,” student Vasile Istrati said. The MAE also set up a hotline, 022 23 22 02, urging the people to use it to report corruption cases.
