MAE and PNL welcome constitution of democratic government
The European Action Movement (MAE) and the National Liberal Party (PNL) welcome the formation of a democratic government in Moldova and express their hope that the new administration will modernize the country and improve the living conditions of the people, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting messages from the two extra-parliamentary parties.
“The MAE will engage unconditionally in this national project as reliable partner in the efforts to revive the economy affected by the old regime's irresponsible policy aimed at concentrating the resources in the hands of groups of interests and to strengthen Moldova's position at foreign level,” the leader of the MAE Anatol Petrencu says in the message.
“We are all aware that the Alliance for European Integration took over in an extremely difficult period. The success of the governance depends on us all and we must show solidarity, understanding and activism so that we build together a new, post-Communist, democratic, pro-European society,” reads the message from the PNL.
The parties wished the new Government good luck, saying they hope that the parliamentary group of the Communist Party (PCRM) would vote for the Alliance's candidate for the head of state so that Moldova could make progress on the path to European integration and improve the relations with Romania.
