The Chambers of Trade of Romania, Belarus, Austria, Hungary and Russia will be present at bilateral forums that will be held within the exhibition “Made in Moldova”. Chairman of the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Moldova Sergiu Harea told a news conference that a record number of bilateral forums will be staged this year and they hope a large number of cooperation agreements to boost Moldova’s exports will be signed as a result of these, IPN reports.
The business program of the exhibition starts on January 31 with the Moldovan-Russian bilateral forum that will involve representatives of the central and local public authorities, business associations, representatives of the Chambers of Trade of the Russian Federation and business entities. In the first half of February 2, a bilateral Moldovan-Romanian forum will be held, while in the afternoon – a Moldovan-Belarusian forum. The Moldovan– Austrian forum on February 3 will involve companies from the IT, health, building and agricultural machinery sectors.
The exhibition’s additional program includes conferences, seminars and roundtable meetings on energy efficiency, export to foreign markets, pre-packing of goods, financing of innovations, designing and promotion of brands, etc. The proposals that will be collected in the bilateral forums will be remitted to the central public authorities.
Sergiu Harea said foreign businessmen are interested in investing in Moldova and in increasing the local production capacities, while those from Moldova are interested in exploring the opportunities opened up by the platform provided by “Made in Moldova”.
The exhibition will be attended by over 350 businessmen from Moldova, including Gagauzia and the Transnistrian region.
“Made in Moldova” will take place at the exhibitions center “Moldexpo” during January 31 and February 5. The exhibition and sale will be open daily between 10am and 6pm. The event is organized by the Chamber of Trade and Industry under the aegis of the Government and is aimed at supporting national companies to promote competitive products on the domestic and foreign markets, to attract investment and intensify the public-private dialogue.
