Made in Moldova expo opens at Moldexpo

Over 350 companies displayed their production at the 8th edition of the exhibition “Made in Moldova,” opened on Tuesday, January 27, at Moldexpo. Well-known Moldovan firms and companies from Ukraine, Belarus and Russia are among the participants in the exhibition. The exhibition room spreads on an area of about 2,400 meters square, Info-Prim Neo reports. The event is sponsored by the Moldovan Government, being organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), in cooperation with other organizations. “The beautiful tradition of the exhibition of goods and local services appeared in 2001, when the country was in a period of social and economic turmoil. The results obtained by the most competent local producers and by the ablest providers denote that through hard work good results can be obtained,” premier Zinaida Grecianai stated at opening the show. Gheorghe Cucu, the CCI president, said that “Made in Moldova” gets the statute of an international exhibition. For the Moldovan companies the expenses for leasing exhibition rooms are partially covered by the government. The show will be opened till January 31. The additional schedule includes round tables on present topics for business and the Investment Forum “Investments, Partnership, Development,” that will unfold on Wednesday, January 28. The winners of the contests “The best tax-payer of the year”, “The trademark of the year” and “The State Prize in the area of quality” will be announced.
