The Theoretical Lyceum “Nicolae Donici” from Dubasarii Vechi village of Criuleni district will have a new gymnasium. The construction of the annex will start next year and will cost about 10 million lei, IPN has learned from the Government’s press service.
A number of renovation works were carried out at the school over the last two years. More than 600,000 lei was spent on the repair of the heating system, while the purchase and installation of interactive panels and computerized equipment cost 102,000 lei.
On November 21, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca visited the lyceum that is attended by about 600 students. “What you do is nice. You managed to renovate the lyceum. It’s easy to help those who want to do nice things, for the students’ benefit,” he stated.
The Premier visited the social center “Concordia” of the village, where over 90 persons have free lunch daily. The beneficiaries include children with disabilities and from socially deprived families and elderly people. Twelve persons are now staying at the center. “We will do our utmost to provide you with heat, warm food and a quiet life. I hope our joint projects will continue,” said Iurie Leanca.
He also went to the local church, where there was held a religious service on the occasion of the village’s day that is marked on the Feast of Saint Archangels Michael and Gabriel. The head of Government is on a working visit to Criuleni district.
