The local public authorities will freely use the infrastructure of the power distribution system for installing public lighting systems. A legislative proposal to amend the law on electrical energy was given a first reading by the MPs, IPN reports.
The bill provides that the equipment for measuring the consumption of non-household users of electricity can be installed, inspected and maintained by the power system operator based on charges set by the National Agency for Energy Regulation. At present, non-household uses take the measurement equipment for inspection themselves.
The legislative initiative was proposed by a group of MPs of the Party of Action and Solidarity. It is to be examined by Parliament in the second reading.
