Representatives of the electoral office of polling place No. 120 in Chisinau, where the students of the State University of Moldova (USM) vote, say the number of voters is much lower compared with other elections. They voiced hope the students will come to vote towards evening, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Only 20% of the voters included in the electoral rolls cast their ballots by 2pm. We hope this figure will be at least 30% at the end of the day,” the electoral office’s head Sergiu Sainciuc stated for Info-Prim Neo. Another member of the electoral office, Vladimir Carp said the students usually vote in the second half of the day. The monitors representing the Liberal Democratic Party and the Liberal Party said some of the voters encountered difficulties related to the voting procedure. No other irregularities were recorded.
