National airline Air Moldova established with Romanian airline Blue Air the main conditions for the first low-cost flights from Chisinau, reports Info-Prim Neo, quoting a press release of the company. In the nearest future, Air Moldova passengers will be able to buy €99 and €139 one-way tickets with all fees included. The first available destinations will be Brussels (Belgium), Madrid, Valencia, Malaga (Spain) and Catagna (Italy). Passengers will purchase their tickets at Air Moldova agencies. Later, the company will develop an online platform for buying low-cost tickets. Low-cost flights are possible due to the collaboration between Air Moldova and Blue Air. The former will transport passengers to Bucharest, where they will board Blue Air planes. Air Moldova stresses that negotiations were not simple; Blue Air had already sold all of its low-cost tickets for this season. Tickets for low-cost flights must be bought long in advance. Air Moldova and Blue Air are searching for a solution to offer low-cost fares in Chisinau beginning this summer. Air Moldova operates flights to 21 destinations. Starting June 4, it has three new flights to Italy with reduced fares of €73 to Bologna, Venice and Verona.
