The lot situated close to the Circus, which was sold at the last auction held by the Chisinau City Hall for 95 million lei, was seized immediately after the sale. The municipality considers the seizure by a bailiff’s decision is illegal and intends to notify prosecutors and the National Anticorruption Center, IPN reports.
In the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, deputy mayor of Chisinau Ilie Ceban said that attempts are being made to deprive the municipality of 95 million lei after planning a new raider attack and illegal actions against the municipality.
“I ask the mates from the Legal Division and the Architecture Division to draft complaints addressed to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, the NAC and SIS about the bailiff’s attitude,” said Ilie Ceban.
The deputy mayor noted that these actions are absolutely groundless and illegal. “95 million is the damage caused to the Chisinau City Hall. With this money, we can asphalt the entire Albisoara Street and Decebal Boulevard. I ask for maximum effort and prudence to protect the interests of the City Hall. Previously, we experienced problems of this kind. We acted and obtained the removal of all the prohibitions imposed by the bailiff, but we notice that attempts are still being made in various ways to steal this lot from the municipality. We realest the law enforcement agencies to react because in this case they are trying to openly rob the municipality,” stated Ilie Ceban
On March 29, the Chisinau City Hall held a land auction to sell lots of land in the built-up area of the municipality. Eleven lots were sold for a total of 133.15 million lei. The seized lot was sold for the highest amount. It is about 0.75 hectares in area and is intended for residential complexes, area C2-R6, being situated on National Renaissance Boulevard.
