LOT Polish Airlines is considering launching an operational base in Chisinau. This possibility was discussed by Mircea Pascaluta, State Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, with Michał Fijoł, an executive at the Polish airline, IPN reports.

LOT representatives visited Marculesti to assess the potential for launching passenger flights and cargo operations to and from the Republic of Moldova. Discussions also covered LOT Polish Airlines' future plans for Moldova and opportunities for expanding its operations.

According to the State Secretary, enhancing air connectivity between Moldova and Poland is a priority for mobility and economic cooperation. "We continue to explore solutions for developing and diversifying routes, providing citizens and businesses with more mobility opportunities," stated Mircea Pascaluta.
