Lot of Pfizer vaccines distributed to public health centers

The 24,570 doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, immediately after they were received, were transported to the store of the National Public Health Agency and are kept at temperatures of -50…-70 degrees Celsius. In the morning of March 23, a lot was distributed to local public health centers and from there will be taken to vaccination centers, National Public Health Agency epidemiologist Alexei Ceban stated in a news conference, being quoted by IPN.

According to Alexei Ceban, the consignment consists of 50% of the total doses, the rest being stored as the second dose that will be administered in 21 days. 1,000 of the received dozes will be distributed to the Transnistrian region. The vaccine can be kept at temperatures of +2…+8 degrees Celsius for 120 hours.

Ninel Revenco, coordinator of the national vaccination communication group, noted that Moldova also received 2,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine. 1,000 doses were distributed, while 1,000 were stored for being administered in 21 to 28 days. This vaccine is an inactivated virus.

A clinical study conducted in China showed the vaccine is 79.3%, effective, while in the United Arab Emirates its efficiency was set at 96%. The vaccine can be stored at temperatures of +2…+8 degrees Celsius. It is administered to persons aged 18 and over. The vaccine is now used in Serbia and Hungary.
