Loretta Handrabura, who is the next substitute candidate for the seat of MP on the list of the Liberal Democratic Party, refuses to occupy the seat that was withdraw from the ex-Liberal-Democratic leader Vlad Filat, who was sentenced to nine years in jail for influence peddling and passive corruption.
Contracted by IPN, communicator of the Central Election Commission Rodica Sarbu said that Loretta Handrabura on December 16 submitted an application to the Commission whereby she informs that she renounces the seat.
In accordance with the Liberal Democratic Party’s list of candidates for the parliamentary elections of 2014, the vacated seat will now be filled by Simion Grishchuk, who was a member of the previous legislature.
