According to him, the existent legal framework regulating the construction sector is over-centralized and bureaucratized by those who implement it, Info-Prim Neo reports. ”This contributed to the appearance of many illegal constructions. In Orhei town alone, there are 2,600 illegal constructions. Who should we fight with? The Construction Inspectorate has 70 employees. Can an inspector check Orhei and Telenesti districts alone? The standards and norms in the construction sector are not observed. What can we do? There are about 100 houses built illegally on Drumul Bacioiului Street. It is impossible to find the owners. The prosecutors and the police do not know against who to fight,” Chirtoaca said, giving other examples of illegal constructions whose owners pay low fines and then obtain authorizations.
