The list of declarations of support for Moldova's European road signed by local officials continues to grow, IPN learned from a press release of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova.
Yesterday, local councilors from Durlesti, Cricova, Sangera, Vadul lui Voda, the communes Cruzesti, Colonita, Truseni, Budesti and Bacioi from the Muncipality of Chisinau joined PLDM's call.
Moreover, local authorities from 14 villages in Criuleni district, councilors from Sadova and Hoginesti villages in Calarasi district, the Milestii Mici commune in Ialoveni district, those from Draganesti, Cotiujenii Mici and Izvoare in Sangerei district, as well as the town councilors in Sangerei have also joined the campaign.
The declarations signed by the representatives of local public administration condemn the actions fueling separatism and destabilizing the country.
They also approve closer relations with the EU and the development of a model of local administration that would help Moldova's modernization and the construction of an European state.
“We commit to make all the necessary effort to build the European state of Moldova, to create jobs, to ensure the people's wellbeing, the development of villages and towns, the functioning of institutions protecting everyone's rights and liberties. Together for Moldova!”, read the declarations.
Ten days ago, PLDM called upon local authorities of first and second level to meet and adopt public statements of support for Moldova's European integration and to denounce the separatism and division of society. PLDM also asked the relevant authorities to take all the necessary measures to prevent any attempt to destabilize the situation in the country.
