The commission on budget, economy, finance and public patrimony (CBEFPP) examined on Wednesday, 29 March, the possibility to purchase, of municipal budget, the equipment to evacuate the cars of the pavements of municipality Chisinau. The head of the service of systematizing road traffic of Road Police (PR), Igor Barbulat, motivated the need to purchase this equipment through the fact that 50% of the total number of accidents take place on pedestrian guilt, who in many cases are involved in accidents because of the fact they did not have the possibility walk on the pavement, as the latter ones are occupied by cars. In the same time, the head of transport and communications department, Veaceslav Tarna, noted that purchasing the evacuation equipment is needed anyway, as road police has problems with evacuation of cars in case of accidents. In this sense, he mentioned that businessmen of municipality, having such technique, do not reply to policemen requirements. Commission members required to PR representative to present during the next meeting of BEFPP commission general information about the needed equipment, including its price. Igor Barbulat mentioned that PR required initially to purchase 3 evacuation units and considered that, once starting forced evacuation activities, when car owners will be forced to pay great amounts for transporting and parking transport units, compared to current fine of 20 lei, it will not be necessary additional purchase of this equipment. He informed that, related to created situation regarding unauthorized parking, it is necessary now the work of 2-3 evacuation units in every district of the capital. In case when the counselors approve the purchasing the evacuation equipment, including for forced evacuation of transport units on the pavement, it will be drafted the normative base regarding the regulation of this process in municipality.
