LNP suggests blocking Parliament’s central rostrum to raise public awareness in the case of municipal press

The Liberal National Party (PNL) proposes to create a Committee for coordinating the opposition’s actions, with a view to organising resistance against antidemocratic coalition. As the party states, one of the first actions could be the blocking of the main rostrum of the Parliament, in an attempt to raise national and foreign public awareness as concerns the peril of liquidating the right to information and to freedom of expression in Moldova. LNP suggests to form a commission for safeguarding the sale-purchase process, composed of experts of the Council of Europe, OSCE, EU, international organisations; institute a moratorium on implementation of the decisions of Chisinau Municipal Council; organise a referendum in this regard. Leader of party, Vitalia Pavlicenco, told a press conference that the alleged process for reorganising these stations means, in fact, to liquidate them via a privatisation purposely controlled using different factors. “Elimination of radio and TV stations definitively discloses the antidemocratic character of the red-orange political regime. The “political marriage” Rosca-Voronin became the main impediment to democratic and European future of Moldova”, says Pavlicenco. LNP voices its disagreement about the situation of the two stations and urges the politicians to put up a strong resistance to the communist regime that violates basic human rights and liberties.
