The bill proposed by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, for the regulation of the living subsistence has been voted on, on Friday, in two readings during the Parliament’s meeting, reports Info-Prim Neo. Minister of Labor Valentina Buliga stated that presently the living subsistence is calculated by the National Bureau of Statistics, as stipulated by a Governmental order, but there is no legal framework for it. The bill is a framework draft Law, and determines the definition, components and method of calculating the size of the living subsistence, as well as the scope of application for this parameter. The living subsistence sums the value of the consumption basket, as well as premiums and mandatory contributions. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2011 the average per capita living subsistence was 1,503 lei.
