The most expensive medial services, according to the new tariffs approved by the Government, cost over 1 million lei for a treated case. A liver transplant that includes the examination of the patient, maintaining, transportation, transplantation and post-surgery treatment, costs 1 253 143 lei, according to the Government decision of December 30, 2016. A renal transplant with all the medical services included costs 464,000 lei, IPN reports.
Tariffs varying between 60,000 and 70,000 lei will have to pay those who suffer from different heart diseases. An aortic valve replacement costs over 71,000 lei, while an operation to close the atrial septal defect is performed for over 64,000 lei.
A procedure to prepare and perform in vitro fertilization will cost almost 32,000 lei, while an ultrasound examination performed in the II-III pregnancy terms will cost 150 lei.
Among the cheapest services are the measurement of blood pressure (4 lei) and the collection of urine in disposable container (2 lei).
The new tariffs for medical-sanitary services provided for money by public health facilities and for services paid from the mandatory health insurance funds provided by public and private health facilities took effect on February 10, 2017.
