Lithuanian Premier Andrius Kubilius to visit Chisinau
A Lithuanian delegation headed by the Prime Minister of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius will be paying a working visit to Chisinau during January 26-27, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the program of the visit, immediately after the arrival, Andrius Kubilius will have a meeting with his Moldovan counterpart Vlad Filat. A meeting of the official delegations of Moldova and Lithuania will follow next.
The program also includes the signing of a joint statement on cooperation in European integration. On the same day, the Lithuanian delegation will lay flowers to the monument to Stephan the Great. In the afternoon, the two Prime Ministers will participate in a business forum.
At 16.00, Andrius Kubilius will meet with Head of Parliament and Acting President of Moldova Mihai Ghimpu. Later the same day, the Lithuanian officials will have a meeting with representatives of the Lithuanian community in Moldova.
On the second day of the visit, Andrius Kubilius will meet with the president of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu, the president of the Moldova Noastra Alliance Serafim Urecheanu and the leader of the Communist Opposition Vladimir Voronin.
The Lithuanian delegation will also take part in the opening of a Lithuanian lecture room at the Free International University of Moldova, where Andrius Kubilius will deliver a lecture. Afterward, he will meet with members of the first Parliament of Moldova.
