Lists of channels broadcast by cable TV operators modified
The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) approved new lists of TV channels that are broadcast by nine cable TV operators.
Victor Pulbere, head of the BCC’s Examination and Licensing Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that all the cable operators submitted the contracts signed with the channels they air.
Pulbere also said that first of all the operators include the national channels in the list and then the international ones.
“The operators must include the program services of the public and, if possible, local broadcasters in their offers free of charge. It is not an infringement, but the international practice shows that only Moldova uses such a method. In other countries, the TV channels pay to the operators to be included in the network,” Pulbere said.
According to him, some of the broadcasters like TV7, TNT and TV Dixi ask for a fee for being included in the list of aired TV channels.
