The list of jobs done in special conditions for which old-age pensions are provided in advantageous conditions will be updated based on a draft Government decision proposed by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection for public debates on particip.gov.md, IPN reports.
Under the document, old-age pensions in advantageous conditions will be paid to all those who work under the ground and under water, produce cement, glass and glass articles, process metals and work with lead, make pharmaceutical products and work in the chemical, electro-technical and nuclear and radiological medicine industries, as welders and others.
The new list includes 64 positions. The number of jobs done in special conditions stays at 1,684. According to the National House of Social Insurance, pensions in advantageous conditions in 2014-2016 were provided to 164 persons.
Under the law, after ten years of work in special conditions, the retirement age of the person is cut by five years. Those who will work for 15 years will have the retirement age decreased by seven years and a half, while those who will work for 20 years and more by ten years.
The salary earners who met the conditions for benefitting from old-age pensions in advantageous conditions by January 1, 2018 will have the right to such a pension even if their post is not present on the new list.
The average old-age pension provided in advantageous conditions is of 1,500 lei.
