The Government of Romania on August 11 approved a memorandum concerning the agreement on the mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates and scientific titles between Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The document provides that the agreement will be signed by the Minister of Education of Romania Sorin Cîmpeanu, IPN reports.
Under the memorandum, the new agreement on the mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates and scientific titles between Romania and the Republic of Moldova envisions the recognition of pre-university diplomas of Moldova that are not covered by the current similar agreement and whose recognition was requested by Romania. Among these are the lyceum graduation diploma, secondary school graduation diploma, college and medical school graduation diplomas.
The document also envisions the recognition of secondary school certificates issued in Moldova before and after 2011, short-term university studies with studies in tertiary non-university education, diplomas and certificates obtained when graduating post-university studies, specialty post-university studies and post-university refresher courses.
