The list of medicines compensated with mandatory health insurance funds will be supplemented with four more international common names. The preparations are intended for the treatment of hypertension, diabetes and respiratory diseases. A decision to this effect was taken by the Council for Compensated Medicines, IPN reports.
The four new compensated drugs are sitagliptinum (partially compensated), perindoprilum+indapamidum, budesonidum (50% compensated) and budesonidum+ formoterol fumarate dehydrate.
According to the estimates of the National Health Insurance Company, about 24 million lei a year is needed for compensating the new medicines. The costs will be covered with mandatory health insurance funds.
Also, the patients who need palliative care will benefit from three more preparations that are already in the list of compensated medicines, namely: amitriptilylinum, gabapentinum, diazepamum.
The changes in the list of compensated medicines take effect on January 1, 2023.
