The Commission for nominating candidates for the position of Chisinau City Council’s Secretary will meet on December 13 the latest to define the list of candidates, Daniela Frantujan, the secretary of the Commission, told Info-Prim Neo. The Commission will select only the candidates who correspond to the requirements and will make the names of the finalists public, said Frantujan. During the same meeting, the president of the Commission will set the date for the contest, which will take place until December 18, in accordance with the Government regulation of March 1, 2004. The competition for the post will include two stages – written and oral. At the written exam the candidates will draw an envelope with questions regarding the activity of Secretary of the City Council and legislation on local public administration. The oral test will take place on the same day. Only candidates who pass the written part by scoring more than 7 (on a 1-10 scale) will be admitted to the interview. At this stage, the candidates will be asked the same questions, said the secretary of the Commission. The Nominating Commission is composed of the Chairman of the City Council, Mihai Ghimpu (also president of the Commission), mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, the leader of AMN fraction, Pavel Caba, the leader of the social-democrats, Eduard Musuc, the leader of the Liberal-Democrat group, Alexandru Tanase, one representative from the Ministry of Local Public Administration and an expert from the Department of Human Resources, said Daniela Frantujan. The deadline for submitting applications for the position of Secretary of CCC is December 7. By today, December 6, there have been submitted 9 applications. The position became vacant after Vladimir Sarban was appointed as head of Chisinau’s Centru district.
