Limited access to a number of Chisinau streets in connection with Turkish President’s visit

The public will have limited access to about 30 streets, boulevards and areas in Chisinau during October 17-18 in connection to the visit that will be paid by the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Moldova.

The road repair and tree trimming works on the streets on which the presidential convoy will move will be stopped. An order to this effect was signed by acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu following an approach made by the State Guard and Protection Service, IPN reports.

Under the order, the restrictions apply to Dacia Blvd, București St, Ciuflea St, the Great National Assembly Square, the Public Garden “Stephan the Great”, Ștefan cel Mare Blvd, the streets Alexandru cel Bun, Sergey Lazo, Columna, Alexei Shchusev, Mihail Kogălniceanu, Constantin Stere, Mihai Eminescu and others.

The persons who intended to hold public meetings will be unable to do this.
