Deputy Head of Parliament Liliana Palihovici described the spring - summer session of the legislature as one with hurried actions and maximum tensions, but also with political lessons that she hopes were learned. In her speech at the end of session, the Liberal-Democratic MP said this session was much more difficult than the previous ones and there are yet many overdue matters, IPN reports.
“The first session of the 20th legislature will remain in the history of the Moldovan parliamentarianism as one within which there were voted in two Governments. In such situations, even the most organized societies with advanced democracies would have coped with challenges with difficulty. However, I want to emphasize an accomplishment of our governing coalition – we managed to form a pro-European alliance that will continue our road to the great European family without hesitation” stated Liliana Palihovici.
She called on the MPs to stop making useless accusations against each other and to strengthen the forces and competences so as to end Moldova’s too long search for itself that lasted for over 20 years. She also called on the Cabinet to draft the bills and decisions needed to deal with the social problems until Parliament returns from vacation in September.
