Lilia Fisikovici has won the International Marathon of Krakow in Poland. The athlete from Tiraspol achieved the result of 2 hours, 31 minutes and 27 seconds, IPN reports.

The Moldovan athlete finished 3 minutes before the Kenyan athlete Maiyo Naomi. Nina Savina of Belarus ranked third. Lilia’s result is a new personal achievement that is very close to the current marathon record of Moldova - 2:31.00 that was set by Tatiana Zueva in 1991.

Lilia Fisikovici finished 27th at the Rio Olympic Games. She aims to qualify for the 2020 Olympics.
