The Communist candidates say that their political adversaries more often use the lies. “Hitler said that a lie becomes a truth if one keeps saying it. The Opposition politicians use this postulate when multiplying the lie,” the Communist candidate Vladimir Turcan told a news conference on July 17, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vladimir Turcan said that in the post-electoral period after April 5 and during the current electoral campaign, the opponents of the Communists used 13 variants of lie to manipulate the voters. “The most often lies concern the rigging of the votes by the ruling party, the consequences of the April 6 and 7 events and the vandalizing of the election posters of the contenders,” Turcan said. “The assertions that the Party of Communists organized the April 6 and 7 events are aberrant. Moreover, they say that I was among those that negotiated the hoisting of a foreign flag on the Parliament’s building,” Turcan said. Turcan also said that on April 7 in the morning the PLDM lodged an application with the Chisinau City Hall, asking that it is allowed to hold a protest, but tried to withdraw it at 15.30 when they saw that they had no control over the situation. “The lie about vote rigging made the young persons take to the streets. Our opponents have presented no proof about this so far,” the PCRM candidate said. The PLDM repeatedly denied that it had staged the April 7 protests. At the end of the conference, Vladimir Turcan urged the election runners to use another postulate by a British politician, which says that in order to keep the social balance, the lies should be avoided.
