The Liberal Reformist Party declared officially its support for Maia Sandu, who is the common candidate of the pro-European, anti-oligarchic forces in the presidential elections. The party welcomes the decision of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” (PPDA) and the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) to nominate a common candidate for the October 30 presidential elections, IPN reports.

“The Liberal Reformist Party calls on all the parliamentary and extra-parliamentary parties and on all the independent candidates to join in this electoral solidarity movement,” the Liberal Reformist Party says in a press release.

Last weekend, the PAS, PPDA and the Liberal Democratic Party announced that Maia Sandu is the common candidate for President of the three parties. The decision was taken after carrying out two polls, which showed that Maia Sandu will have bigger chances than Andrei Nastase in eventual runoff elections.
