The Liberal parliamentary group submitted a challenge regarding the Government’s secret decisions in the case of Banca de Economii, Banca Sociala and Unibank to the Constitutional Court (CC). The MPs said they actually do not dispute the content of the decisions, but ask establishing if such regulations, governing the utilization of public money, can represent a state secret, IPN reports.
According to the authors of the challenge, only the authoritarian or totalitarian regimes limit the freedom of expression and the right to access information about the way and conditions in which the state affairs are managed as well as the right to disseminate such information.
